Ten Rules for Being Human
1.
You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.
2.
You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
3.
There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."
4.
Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
5.
Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
6.
"There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."
7.
Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8.
What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9.
Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
...reminds me of :high school/Joint pub/having a crush on the history teacher/ sweet puppy Boris/late night basketball/bike crash/learning how to swim/playing with my sis/recording songs/18th birthday/1st camp at Tusa...i miss being younger sometimes:p younger and with no worries what so ever :D
I've always liked commercials and some are good, some are bad, some stink actually...yet some...are extraordinary and make your day a little happier :) choose the one you like best :)
The past few months, right after the exam session started, were really overwhelming with waaaaaaaay too much apartment stuff and AIESEC which is why the FUNK ME and afterward the trip to Timisoara were basically the only vacation i could "afford" over the summer
The Functional Meeting at Oradea was more than amazing: besides the first two days of track time that i really enjoyed as they were more like open discussions and i could get to know more about the ICX part in each LC, we also had our team-building at the pool- just lying in the sun, swimming, playing ping-pong around the table and volleyball in the sand- what more to ask for?!
Then the last couple of days were motivating and chillaaaxing : 'Pin-Pon' role-call, fun with Ibi and Puck, midnight 'How i met your mother' episodes, Global Village with Jolidon and Farmec stuff (:p), having pizza with soda (because it's a must!:-w), tiny turtle in the middle of the student campus, found out which way AIESEC Romania is going, laughed a lot and most of all...had tuns of fun :)
Then Timisoara came in the picture- really cool people, really good food, really nice city and really, definitely crazy LC! having the chance to see Vladutz and Dutzu preparing for their flight at 4a.m after a long beer night-out was definitely forth a 7 hours trip by train :p
So, back to Cluj...with some AIESEC stuff on my mind, EB hang-outs, family gatherings, movie nights in the office and just...taking it easy...cause at the end of the day it all comes down to enjoying every last minute of what's left of this summer!
What do you think would be the worst mistake you could ever make?
It's the one question i could answer each time differently...why? because life is scary...because, as humans, we make mistakes all the time and because we sometimes don't have the guts to take a chance and risk.
so why sit all day long thinking about the things you'd want to do instead of actually doing them? time flies so fast you can't imagine...don't wake up in your 40's regretting having not done bungee jumping or taking dance lessons in your 20's. Go ahead and make the jump. It will feel something like this:
It's funny to see how hard it is in an NGO for a person to motivate others; it has nothing to do with money recognition, food tickets, vacation fees or anything of such kind...yet, there are some who manage to arise this spirit of team-work, desire to do something along with persons who have the same aspirations, to create, to implement, to design, to brainstorm...and to dream big.
A special person used to give me advice on how to motivate a team:
"I individualize them. Each person is a unique person who is motivated by something different. I try to find in them those things that motivate them and build up a 'scenery' for each one. Some need public recognition, others just need to be listened to, others need to feel their work appreciated.
Honestly, i think this way: people in AIESEC work hard because they believe in something, even though they don't have immediate results they surely make sacrifices for AIESEC. They may be at first demotivated for working hard yet seeing no soon results, but this doesn't mean i don't appreciate their involvement.
I would still encourage them and help them find solutions together to bring performance.
And in hard moments: the bear necessities and...Louie: Impossible is nothing!"
If before i asked myself why I do all these... I no longer have to..i found my answer...what about you?
indeed! a great team that i can't wait to spend time with... teach... and learn myself... have fun...work hard....Raise...Match...Realize!!! with goods and bads, with ups and downs, with session time, with LCMs, with conferences, with "pinky and the brain", cake, bowling, T-shirts, NGOs, high-schools, trainees, platform... with everything ICX is about...everything AIESEC is about...everything we cherish and want to achieve...for this, i am grateful to have you guys and damn proud to work with you!!!
i love cinnamon scent in hot wine, snowflakes in winter, the freshly smell of oranges, smiley faces, tiny symbolic gifts from friends and old objects that have a story to tell
